Goochi is an A-List pedigree pooch who lives a life of glitz and glamour, comfortable in his designer handbag, swingin’ on the arm of supermodel Kate Walker, the new ‘face’ of Empire Cosmetics. He’s the darling of the kennel-set - the most celebrated mutt in Manhattan. But a bag-snatcher changes all that. One minute he’s schmoozing his way up the Red Carpet - the next he’s down-and-out in trash-Can Alley. Lost and alone, Goochi finds himself a high-class hound in a low-life world where public enemy number one is a gangster-rat named Clawface whose army of ‘wise-guy’ rodents is about to rub-out the humans and turn Manhattan into a real rat-race.

But with the help of a cool crew of rebel rats, a boozy, flatulent Scotty dog and the wisest of wise old cats, Manhattan’s best friend will prove he’s more than just a fashion accessory; he’s a Chihuahua with Chutzpa. From handbag to hero, to save the owner he loves, Goochi is about to go where no dog has gone before…

Created to put the cg chihuahua called Goochi through his paces. Eventually this street scene will be populated with pedestrians and traffic, but what will bring it to life is the mammoth efforts of our little hero to survive the giant stomping feet and skidding cars. The world's a dangerous place for a lost Chihuahua.
Bulldog Animation
Set in a sleepy seaside town, this animation test was created during early story development when the main character was a young bulldog. Starting as a series of walk cycle tests, this piece grew when additional shots were added to give it a bit of narrative form.
Early Dialogue Tests
No fancy camera moves or editing, just the characters performing in one long take. The point was to have the characters articulate the nuances of the chosen actors, in this case, selected dialogue pieces from famous films.
